Balance on Option of MVC Acquired

AMERIGO RESOURCES LTD. reported today that the company has negotiated for the option to acquire the remaining 5% of the shares and shareholder loans of Chilean copper producer Minera Valle Central S.A. (“MVC”).  The acquisition of the remaining interest was made on the same terms as the previous option, with Amerigo now having the right to acquire 100% of MVC for US$20,000,000. 

Amerigo Resources Ltd. is a Canadian junior exploration company with properties in Ontario and Quebec.  In addition to the option to acquire MVC, Amerigo is exploring for Olympic Dam style copper-gold deposits on four properties in the Sault Ste. Marie area of Ontario.
