Changes to Amerigo Officers and Directors

AMERIGO RESOURCES LTD. reported today that Klaus Zeitler has been appointed President of Amerigo Resources Ltd. and Steven Dean has been appointed Chairman of the Board.  Roger Moss has been appointed Vice-President, Exploration and has resigned from the Board.

Sidney P.H. Robinson has been appointed to the Board of Directors.  Mr. Robinson will also be appointed to the audit committee of the Company.

Mr. Robinson is a senior partner of the law firm of Torys LLP, Toronto and has been practising corporate and commercial law since 1968.  Mr. Robinson has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, international projects and mining-related matters, and has represented a number of major mining companies.

Amerigo Resources Ltd. is a Canadian junior exploration company with properties in Ontario and Quebec.  Amerigo has an option to acquire Minera Valle Central S.A., a Chilean copper producer, and is currently exploring for Olympic Dam style copper-gold deposits on four properties in the Sault Ste. Marie area of Ontario.
